Ingredients
500g of cooked chickpeas
2 tablespoons of tahini
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of cumin
1 teaspoon of beetroot powder
Water (optional, for adjusting consistency)
Preparation
In a food processor, combine the drained and rinsed chickpeas, tahini, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, and beetroot powder.
Process the mixture until smooth and creamy. If the hummus is too thick, you can add a little water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
Taste the hummus and season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
Transfer the beetroot powder hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with a little extra olive oil, if desired.
Serve the hummus with your favorite vegetables, pita bread, or crackers. Enjoy this vibrant and flavorful twist on classic hummus!
